After tropical flowers, the starfish, or sea star, is a probably second in popularity as a design element choice for couples planning a beach wedding ceremony. Because of this, I’ve focused on including the starfish in many designs in the Sandpiper Wedding store. And starfish wedding invitations have sold quite well.
My designs are printed on Zazzle paper, which gets high marks from customers. With optional beautiful and elegant upgrades, such as pearl and champagne shimmer and felt paper, a wedding invitation from Zazzle is just as beautiful as any purchased at a specialty wedding store. There is even a “high definition” printing option.
Create reply cards, favor tags, personal wine labels, pre and post ceremony party invitations, thank-you cards, and much more to match every invitation design. If the item you need is not showing up in the design collection, (because it can be difficult, as a designer, to keep up with all the new products offered), shoot me an e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I’ll gladly make it for you.
So here we go…a collection of our starfish wedding invitation variety. Some designs are brand new, and others are older favorites which have been selling well throughout the years.
Every invitation comes standard with white envelopes, with decorated envelopes as an additional option.
We have printable, starfish wedding paper in custom colors you choose yourself. This elegant, designer stationery is covered with big starfish images on both sides. The printing is on invitation paper, which offers many optional upgrades.
Stay with the basic white for affordability, or wow wedding guests with luxurious ‘pearl shimmer‘ or columned texture. For the entire list of specialty papers and edge crops, view the product page by clicking on the image above.
For those couples who prefer to take charge and do their own printing, it’s important to use a good quality paper. My starfish paper was made on blank paper – with no background color chosen (it looks white, but it’s blank). If you don’t add a color, whatever paper type you choose will be your background color.
But choosing any color you can dream of is very possible by using the “customize” blue button, just beneath the item. An array of colors will show, and you’ll see a little eye-dropper at the end of the colors row, which will take you to a larger screen of color choices. If that’s not enough, use the “advanced” area to add your own hex code number to perfectly match your color choice. Or move the levers around until you find the color that suits your needs. Keep in mind that the paper type you choose could throw your color off a bit. For instance, the “Artisan Kraft” paper is an earthy, brown, so any color will show up darker when printed on it.
Whether you plan to print your own wedding invitations, ceremony programs, or thank you letters, Zazzle’s invitation stationery (which is what we are using here) is known for it’s excellent quality. You don’t have to take my word for it. Zazzle has made a short and sweet video about their invitation paper.
Our newest beach wedding destination design is loaded with falling starfish and little hearts on a pretty light blue color. If you like the square wedding invitation style, the confetti design fits perfectly to decorate the top of our 5.25 inch cards.
So far we have also made tall (4×9 inch) invitations as well and plan to make more to match these invitations. The popular mix of pink and gray colors was what we began with and will continue with reply cards, postage, and other items as we go.
We’ve used various font styles for a casual look and if you like it, all info will need to be typed into the template area in capital letters. The bride’s and groom’s names are script text to stand out on the card. We will happily change the wording to accommodate your personal needs. And don’t forget to choose a specialty paper type – metallic ice would make this card shimmer!
