Fun Typography Wedding Invitations With Palm Trees and Beach Sand

Share This:

Create a wedding invitation with fun typography. Click the images below and try out the templates to see how your information will appear.

The look of modern typography adds to the casual elegance of the palm trees wedding invitation in sepia tones. A deep gray-brown solid background is paired with light gray text. Combining various rustic and tall printed fonts brings the date of the event to the forefront.

For a full view of the palm trees used on the front, flip the card over to see the image in light blue.

Scenic beach images make wonderful backgrounds to custom text. I use these free, public domain images often in my designs. Usually only a portion of the photo is needed, or I change the color / transparency. Creating something unique is what I work hard to accomplish. Now that I live in Florida again, I can even use my own photography for beach-themed designs.

The beautiful blue-green water just hitting the shore adds color to the top of the front of this card. Because the color is so perfect for a beach wedding, I chose to fill the reverse side with the same color. It appears that the back is simply an image of ocean water.

Big Names and Starfish Invitation

These affordable wedding invitations will absolutely stun the invitee. Specialty paper, such as “champagne shimmer” is a favorite of buyers. The edges of the paper need not be boring either. Paper cuts include notched corners, bracket shape, rounded corners and scalloped.

These new designs will be getting some matching stationery, but in the mean time please contact me for specific items. We have RSVP cards, custom postage and address labels to work with, and they can all be designed to match anything in our Sandpiper Wedding store.

If fun lettering is not really your thing, perhaps a photo invitation is more your style?

How to Center A Photo In An Oval Photo Template Invitation

Share This:

A photo of the bride and groom can be included in this custom, square invitation (also round is offered). The picture will need to be centered in the oval frame at the top of the card. For those who need help, I will show you how to center a photo in an oval photo template.

Add a photo of the couple to this invitation.

A beautiful image with palm trees and turquoise sea water is the background for custom wording. In my sample invitation, the first names of the bride and groom are all that’s listed. If you would like the wording changed please contact me.

How to Add Your Photo to the Invitation

If this is the invitation for you, a personal photo must be added to the template. In most cases adding a horizontal (landscape) photo to the template will be enough. If the couple’s image is in the center of the photo, it will show in the oval frame.

If you need help changing the photo, please read How to Use Zazzle Photo Templates.

If You Need to Center Your Photo

If your uploaded photo is not showing the two of you in the center of the oval frame, a little more work is needed. You have two choices:

1. Contact me and send me your photo via e-mail, which I will add and center for you.
OR
2. Follow my short tutorial here and center your photo yourself.

To move your photo within the template, click the link beneath the photo template area on the invitation product page. See the yellow circle in the image below.

For vertical (portrait) photos or uncentered subjects the customer may need to use the design tool. This means going to another page that designers use to create the templates.

Make the photo look good

Once the design tool page comes up (image below), find the module on the right which holds your photo and click on it.

The chosen photo will be outlined against the card. Now, go down to the left-hand corner of the page and use the toggle to move the photo right, left, up or down. It can be made larger or smaller also with the plus and minus tool.

As you move and resize the photo be sure to keep the entire template area filled with your photo! If you can’t make it work, upload another photo to try.

Always use a photo that closely resembles the orientation of the photo in the template, with the subject matter in the center.

Once you are finished, click the “done” blue button at the top of the page and you will be taken back to the ordering page. Continue customizing and then place the order.

Flamingos are fun and this custom flamingo flower girl tote bag can be personalized with her name.

Flamingo Custom Wedding Bag

The nice thing about this tote bag is the templates which can be used for any member of the bridal party. The bride will change the pink “Flower Girl” text to “Bridesmaid” or “Maid of Honor” and give all girls a special, personalized gift.

Why Personal Bags Make the Best Gifts

Personal gift bags, with names, let the recipient know there was thought and time put into the purchase. Anyone can go to the store and buy a bunch of bags. Each gal will love seeing her name printed on her bag. If the bride chooses to fill the bags with goodies, even better.

Each member of the wedding party can use her bag to carry accessories to the dressing area on the day of the wedding. It is important to give gifts like these to the girls well before the big day.

Cloth tote bags can be used after the event as beach bags, grocery bags, knitting bags and for storage of special items. It is a usable favor or gift to give the bridal party or guests. We make wedding welcome bags to personalize as well. They are used to welcome traveling guests and are usually placed in the hotel room for them to find when they arrive.

Looking Forward to Spring Wedding Designs in Bright Tropical Colors

Share This:

I realize that Halloween hasn’t even passed yet, but designers are always looking ahead… sometimes way ahead. Today I am looking forward to Spring as Brides begin to shop early for their Spring wedding.

The holiday season is often when guys choose to pop the question. Christmas is right around the corner. Guys could already be shopping for that special engagement ring! Getting ready for Spring makes sense for that reason alone.

Because I sell items for every holiday all year long, I rarely stick to designing for the immediate future. New designs have to be indexed and shared and caught up in the Google mechanism (can you tell I am not tech savvy?) so designing early for an upcoming season is a good thing.

Kudos to the couple who begins planning a wedding early! So often I am contacted by brides who left their invitation ordering until the last minute. Or the wedding is next week and they need ceremony programs! Putting decisions off does not make them less stressful. The additional worry of receiving items on time adds unnecessary stress. And there will be no time to make changes if needed.

With all this online shopping, and pinning at Pinterest, available now, selecting a favorite stationery design could be overwhelming. Some advice from close friends may help. Or, I could give you my advice. Stick to what you like. Don’t try to be modern if it’s not your thing. If traditional is fine with you, choose it.

Beach wedding themes are not really geared toward any particular time of year. In Florida, where I live, a beach wedding could be held at almost any time of year. In cooler climates, Spring and Summer are obviously the best time to marry on the seashore.

What we are really talking about is new designs, tropical and traditional, which can be used for the upcoming Spring wedding season. Bright colors and flowers are what designers and buyers look for in Spring and Summer themes.

Beach Wedding Themes For Spring (And Any Time)

Beautiful hibiscus flowers are perfect for a Spring wedding ceremony on the beach. The wedding set below contains a design of bright orange and pink realistic hibiscus flowers.

I love the colors on the Elegant Beach Wedding designs and couples getting married in a tropical location will too! Bright sea blue with pretty flowers on cards with templates. This designer set has many matching products.

New from Sandpiper Wedding, the Bird-of-paradise design is a re-make of our older design. Because Zazzle now offers fabulous modern fonts, like the handwritten one used here, it’s time to spruce up some of the older invitation sets. A pale yellow-pink graphic background and bright yellow exotic flowers make up this new line of custom wedding paper.

The pineapple design by CardHunter is one of my favorites. It has all the tropical elements combined in one design, with big leaves, pretty flowers and pineapples. Anyone planning a tropical destination event will find many matching products in this suite.

Designs For A Spring Wedding in Any Location (Non-beach)

For those staying on the mainland to marry, I’ve found some beautiful and popular floral wedding suites. The lovely light blue of this collection by Bruno Crispin caught my eye and stands out because of that blue.

This big succulent design by Country Wedding (which is one of my stores) has been selling like crazy. Succulents are not considered flowers, but they can hold their own as they are gorgeous plants. The blue-green colors, and oversized images will appeal to couples wanting a country celebration.

The carefree bride and groom often chooses a low-key, nature inspired ceremony and CardHunter’s Bohemian feathers and floral design fits that bill perfectly. Pink and peach roses twine with stems and feathers in this pretty design.
